Canon xf200 importing questions
« on: March 12, 2024, 04:31:51 AM »
I’ve just bought a canon xf200, pretty happy with the cam but it’s been a long time since I was shooting on dslr and I definitely wasn’t processing all my clips properly back then.

I’m shooting in 720 50p and editing in davinci I’m curious how I should be importing my clips so they don’t come out choppy

What do you mean? It shoots on SD cards, just drag and drop the files from the card to your computer.

It uses compact flash and records to MXF files. When importing to davinci it gives me options to edit/view in different framerates, should I be doing 50 frames or 25?

Oh strange, yeah I've never used Davinci but if you're shooting 720p50 I would say you should edit at the same frame rate you're shooting. When you export the final project you could always try out versions in both 25fps and 50fps to see which you prefer.
