How do you carry your board when cycling?
« on: June 12, 2024, 08:42:10 AM »
Boring topic but I need some inspiration as I put a lock holder on my bike and my board won't fit on the frame anymore (if you know what I mean).

Tempted to go back to my teenage years and buy a backpack that can hold a skateboard.

This is exactly how I did it. At one point I was also attaching my board to my handlebars with a bungie chord, but the added width to my bike ended up being problematic so I stopped doing that.

Op, you ok man? Being real here, you doin alright?

Backpack, hold it(assuming it’s a completely flat ride), or slide the trucks over the handlebars.

I see a lot of people do this (above), but I could never figure it out with the bungie. It either sticks out way too much or it requires a ton of loops with the bungie and takes forever to put in and out.

I'm settling on simply getting a basket and laying it over the basket "in line" with the bike itself. May stick out a little on the back but whatever.

If anyone knows how to do it the way Max Palmer does it in the image above, let me know.

I've been using this skateboard sling strap from Amazon.

My commute to the skatepark is only a mile from each way though so I can't say how it is for longer rides but I'm happy with it

similar to the sling posted above, but I like these guys since they're skater owned and their bags can be used as a normal sling bag too, can hold a board or yoga mat.
