AHM is The Matrix of skate videos
AHMs 1-3 were all really good in my opinion. 3 is probably my favorite of the series. 4 and onwards I can leave but the O'Shea brothers put out amazing videos for a good stretch.
At their best the
Happy Medium videos put together industry-standard production values, a consistent but ever-evolving crew of Arizona standouts, and a focus on desert spots that stood out in the skate internet of the 2010s.
I think when they showcased less "traditional" rippers and more Jason Park/Killian Martin/Jeff Stevens type guys and moved away from normal music in favor of even more Radical Face and then Death Grips the formula was lost.
The wacky stuff in earlier videos was balanced out by a good amount of classic footage and riders.
I watched about half of this one and skipped the "creative" dudes' sections and was impressed. It's great seeing John Motta and Johnrob Moore still skating and the
Happy Medium dudes still making videos.
