From 2020 up until like early 2024 SC was all over YouTube going for the online homie demographic. Seemed like a solid lane for the company and although it wasn’t for me, I could see how it made sense for them to compete with Powell for the new/returning skater market. But now they’re not even doing that.

Before finishing this post I searched SC on YouTube and it appears that they’re still posting on there semi frequently but without much brand direction detectable. Is Tom Asta supposed to be their Dan Corrigan? Who else besides winkowski even rides for them anymore? You’d think with all the money they must make from bumper stickers they’d have hired a guy to figure this shit out by now.

i won't shade pretty much anyone on their team, but it really doesn't feel like anyone with heart is near any of the company's steering wheels. been that way for years and years now though, thinking about it. they're probably just all in on that amazon complete demographic, which would also explain the overall lack of inspiration in their brand identity. for that market the screaming palm and red dot do 99% of their job for them lol why innovate
