i got some like toys r' us grip on my board right now, it really looks like black spray paint or something

like 2 years ago i never wanted to go to the shop and buy grip so i would recycle griptape (horrible idea, dont do it) by using a blow dryer to heat it up then slowly pull it off and then immediatly place it on top of the new deck and stomp that shit on

Don't really care about the brand or the grit. As long as it's all black, it's over the bolts and it's cut clean with no lines then I'm good to go.

i usually have plain ass black grip tape


but on occasions ill throw some art on top

like ill spray paint dirty on top or it or write gnar really really small in some odd spot or alittle sometin sometin somewhere else

jessup only. perfectly filed. and the bolts got to be underneath the tape. lokking at stupid bolts freaks me ou, its like a majic carpet with them under the tape.

I bought a box of Black Magic grip 5 years ago.  I like the stuff.  I used to get jessup if it came free with the deck.  I tried mob and didn't like it at all.  I'll stick to Black Magic.

i put the griptape on and sometimes it covers the whole board, if not i have to peel it back and try again, after that i sand the sides and slip and put gouges in the top at least 6 or 7 times, then i inspect all of the massive air bubble, and then finnally i cut the grip of cutting towards myself, slipping and making jagged edges on the side of the grip and shazam! i once cracked a board trying to stomp an air bubble out. i have zero patience for griptape jobs

mob or jessup sanded down a bunch. i also take my time on the file job, make sure its perfect. then it just shaves off like butter, relief cuts are for babies.

I always put the grip covering the bolts. I usually write one word right above where the back bolts should be.

Black magic sanded down with a little bit of leftover grip. no brand preference, as long as it doesnt peel.
