"A standoff that began with a shocking attack at Kenya's Westgate Mall Saturday is in its second day, with civilians held hostage by gunmen in the upscale shopping center.

The authorities say they have isolated the attackers. As of Sunday morning, Red Cross officials reported 59 deaths and at least 200 wounded in the assault, with 49 people still missing. We'll add news to this post as it emerges."

My father and his wife were there in the mall, at a restaurant not far from the entrance, they're safe
He told me he saw a bearded man firing 2 times at him while yelling "allah wekbar" at the very beginning of this shit, then stay hidden with other people in the kitchen room during 4 hours and a half...
knew about it just yesterday, they've been lucky not being hurted or dead

I'm surprised Al Qaeda doesn't do more of this in the US, it seems easier to pull off than something like a bomb plot. Even the Boston bombing only killed 3 people.
