And just when we thought it was over he does it again
« on: December 16, 2008, 07:11:15 AM »
he had to give us one last solid kick in the balls to help out the CEOs in the financial crisis by creating a loophole that allows all of the 350 billion that he's given to them so far to not have the upper management compensation restrictions via a review process. he's not only already given away half the money before Obama had a chance at it, he's also completely gone against the spirit of the bill and the will of the american people who will be paying this shit back for decades by changing it so that it excluded the most important part, the part that was causing all the delays in passing it because it was so important to all.

the dem's dropped the ball, no doubt but Bush's actions are with the full intent of screwing us. what a prick...

Quote
Congress wanted to guarantee that the $700 billion financial bailout would limit the eye-popping pay of Wall Street executives, so lawmakers included a mechanism for reviewing executive compensation and penalizing firms that break the rules.

But at the last minute, the Bush administration insisted on a one-sentence change to the provision, congressional aides said. The change stipulated that the penalty would apply only to firms that received bailout funds by selling troubled assets to the government in an auction, which was the way the Treasury Department had said it planned to use the money.

Now, however, the small change looks more like a giant loophole, according to lawmakers and legal experts. In a reversal, the Bush administration has not used auctions for any of the $335 billion committed so far from the rescue package, nor does it plan to use them in the future. Lawmakers and legal experts say the change has effectively repealed the only enforcement mechanism in the law dealing with lavish pay for top executives.

he'll go down as the worst president in US history surpassing even nixon.

i don't get the bailout?  they want money so they can continue to make a product no one wants to buy?
but if they go out of business, so will all their suppliers?  the same suppliers that will cotinue to supply materials for the cars that no one wants to buy?

people don't buy american cars because they don't last, they get poor mileage, the quality of the car is poor, and the build/manufacturing sucks ass.  so how can they justify wanting more money to make a inferior product?, that makes perfect sense!

another problem is the overpaid factory workers who just don't give a shit. the typical auto workers want to get paid a lot of loot(average $76 a hour), do the least amount of work, then bitch about how they're not getting their raise/bonus.  these poeple have 2 cars, 2 homes, jetskis, motorcycles, etc.  they've grown used to a certain standard of living and forgot how the average person lives, yet claim to be average.  sorry auto work dudes, theres nothing average about making $76 an hour.

the reason why people buy japanese/foreign cars is because they make a long lasting good quality car.  the reason for this is, each and every one of their employees from the CEO, to factory worker, to the guy who sweeps up, gives a shit about the quality of their work in everything they do.  americans used to be the same but somewhere along the line people lost their pride in the quality of work they do.

the catch phrase lazy americans comes to mind and its the truth and pertty much why the auto industry is failing/ed.
these morons really need to watch the movie "gung ho" and get their shit together.

fuck the bailout, and definitely fuck bush!

I agree with your point but this was about the financial bail out not the automotive industry bailout, unless they are pulling that from the same bucket now... Not sure haven't been keeping up fully.

But I just don't get it, what's his motivation for hooking up these uppermanager kooks? It's just pathetic.

I wish Bush just had a really bad alcohol problem that would arise during the winter months, so he would be pretty much drunk and lazy the rest of his presidency.

i'm crossing my fingers that he passes on that option.
secret service or not, it still doesn't change the fact that he'd be a normal citizen.  the SS might kick my ass but it'll be worth it if i get to crack that fuckers jaw.  sure i might catch assault charge....that no jury in the world would ever convict me of.  everyone hates bush, everyone.

In China, when CEO's fuck up they get executed.
if they incorporated that law in the US we'd have to executed 99% of the population, ha!  :P

All this bullshit is going to fall on Barack, and when the consequences of all of bushes fuck ups finally hit us, he's going to be blamed. America rules.
