Rumor is he walked into the NIKE HQ and said he wanted a half cab but with better material this is what they came up with so far.
DING DING DING! We have a winner here!
Y'see kids, through time I've developed this really cool stuff called "common sense" that helps me see things clearly. It's a lot of fun.
Questions:
Was there a midtop skate shoe
before the Half-Cab? Wasn't the very reason that Half-Cabs were invented was because kids were cutting down their hightop Cabs because midtops were not yet available? And by that logic, isn't it safe to say that practically every midtop skate shoe is in that way derivative of the Half-Cab? And do the thick white sole and the angled strap/panel at the ankle of the Omar shoe not only support the rigors of his gnarly skating, but support my theory as well?
Answers:
Nope, yes, yup, and yeah.
