Went there Friday while on vacation-ish in Florida.
Don't really see why the comp's get so hyped, the setup now where they do the pro/am comps was weak as shit.
The ground is slicker than shit.
All the coping was sticky as fuck.
Just bummed on how lame it was.
BUT...
Skating the Red Bull Manny Mania setup was fun.
As was the mini rap in the other building.

dude i grew up skating the SPOT thats just the way FL skating is, dirty

Back in like 94-96 I would make the drive every 5-6 months to skate SPOT.  It was a 12 hour drive but always worth it.  But at the time the set-up was WAAAY different.  They had this sick metal bowl outside to skate.  I dunno, I always loved it. 

PLUS - there's some history there, that's why it's a big deal.

I went the weekend before this years pro contest and had a great time. Def. one of the greatest private skateparks of all time. Any indoor park is gonna be slick. Plus, everything is sticky in the south. I think the current setup is one of the best ones they have had in while.

I grew up skating it as well.
Every other Saturday for 4 years.
I' just sayin' its not what it used to be. :(

I went there last summer on go skate day because it was raining, I had to use a fake name to get in but it was well worth the experiance. I hated the other people in there skating though, gave me the worst looks and vibes.

I think it's the dudes who run it first and foremost and 2nd as a skater my self....well....it's just not the x-games, you smell me? The place is not very big and you can only make so may different set-ups, you know they have changed that place around a lot right and now every year? Anyway it's one of my favorite places to skate a contest. The SPOT dudes are what skatepark owners should be...skaters and good heads.
