PBR 6'ers for 3.50 near my house in NJ.

Its fucking un-beatable. The beer is not bad at all and get you drunker than any Coors/Bud shite.

Plus its a good shotgun beer.
[close]

how does pbr get you drunker, it has the fuckin same exact alcohol content as budweiser

PBR and Budweiser are around 5% alcohol. (ive read 5.2 bud - 5.7 pbr) Also, I didnt mention Budweiser cause its tastes like caca.

Coors light and Bud light is like 4%, which makes it that pbr "gets you drunker than..."

http://www.realbeer.com/edu/health/calories.php - lists budweiser and pbr at 5.0 respectfully.

I'm born in poland, I grew up in germany  and currently I live in belgium. amusing to read about americans discussing about beer.
...the States has some pretty good beer, too, though. I worked at a micro for a couple of years and we made one of the best Scottish Ales and ESB's I've ever had. We used to kill ourselves making that stuff.

Here's an article on hipsters and PBR.

http://www.nbcchicago.com/around-town/food-drink/Pabst-Blue-Ribbon-Now-More-Popular-Than-Ever-Sorry-Hipsters-59575967.html

PBR is pretty shitty beer that seems to run right through me. I mainly buy it when I'm looking to get fucked up on the cheap but the price just went up a dollar.

OE is $2.25 for the 40oz, still .99 for the 24 ounce cans. its an import for Zurg...

drinking that shit down to the label then mixing it up with some OJ is the way to go for any occasion. sneak that shit into the movie, keep it under a shady spot during a hot summer session, or stocked in the fridge waiting for me along with me N64 when I get home from a cold winter day. shits perfect

I remember pbr 12 packs being on sale for $4.50 at the safeway near me at one point. That made it awesome. Overall, its just decent tasting cheap beer.
I feel like we've done this before, but pbr, high life, and tecate are the way.

As an alcohobbyist I love a quality brew. However, aesthetically, I believe PBR has one of the best logos which lends itself so nicely to any merchandise they produce.

I agree with Rawb on this one though. If I'm gonna drink a few I'll spend the extra dough and get something fresh. Up here in Toronto you can't get much better than Creemore. Shits dope.

No, microbrews are not the same as local skateshops and the prices are seldom reasonable. When its time to have a good time with some friends, nobody is going to bring over a case of anchor steam. I only pray that they choose tecate.

I saw you mentioned Anchor Steam and wondered if they have brewery tours so I went to their website and saw this shirt is only $12.95.....

well it is probably different here...

we must have over 1000 in our province

the brick brewery is close to my house and they sell really good shit for 24$/24 which is the legal cheapest they are allowed to sell for here. if you ever get the chance to try waterloo dark you will be pleasantlky surprised... its not thixck like guiness (which i dont reallly like) but it has a nice flavour really soft on the throat not too heavy and not too bitter.

there is a really shit one called lionhead brewery and there is a bar that only sells that on tap and its the complete opposite... pure shit, same price basically maybe a buck cheaper a pint at the taps, maybe, and its super hard on your throat and i swear to god it gives you a headache.

im sure there must be some nice breweries in cali?!!

Yeah, they've got free tours and their the shit. But you've got to schedule it a little ways out 'cause they fill up. And come prepared to get drunk. After the tour you go to their bar for a "tasting" which means you drink like 10 pints in 45 minutes. Our guide must have been allergic to empty glasses 'cause every time I looked away a had a fresh glass in front of me.

The only bummer about the tour is when you're drinking it that fresh on tap, it makes for a bit of a disappointment the first time you pick some up at the store.

The way I look at it. It you care about beer your gonna buy the local stuff.

- Freshness counts with beer - unlike wine. Buying local you get fresher beer and less fossil fuels burned in the transporting of the stuff.

- Also microbreweries often don't add preservatives into their stuff.

- For the difference in price (I'm talking Canadian right now boys) its well worth it. Paying a few extra bucks to drink something brewed by someone who knows and cares about what there doing. Kinda like buying a blank board made in China versus buying a pro-deck made in America.
