i like this thread. happy record store day. miss wax trax, jerry's record exchange a few blocks away from my old crib, and twist & shout in denver. r.i.p. 90% of all the out of business mom & pop record shops in ct. did you guys catch this.

http://pitchfork.com/tv/#/episode/2144-i-need-that-record/1

pretty much covers the ct in the beginning. the filmmaker, brendan toller, is from middletown, ct. i'm still bummed about trash american style in danbury closing. malcolm is a solid dude, and kathy was cool as fuck. funny thing is i worked at the tower records that took over one of the mentioned strawberries chain stores (only to have the whole company go out of business), and then lose my job because tower/mtc corp filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy.  :P this place is pretty cool http://gerosarecords.com/

I should buy more vinyl. Austin has a bunch of cool places, but they are all kinda far for me and often don't cater to my interests.
today I walked into breakaway records, a new one 3 blocks from my house, it was okay.

lets see, current favorite record on vinyl would be..
