What痴 your goal?  I lived on the front range for 20 years. It all depends on what you池e looking for.  No matter where you choose, there痴 multiple parks very close

Both places can be pretty rough, but Denver for sure.
Colorado Springs is a military town, and has a pretty high rate of petty crime, meth use and overall stupid shit happening.

Denver's got alot of crime in certain areas and tooooooons of homeless people, but its a pretty big city.

If you havent found a place yet, Avoid the east part of the city. Stay west of Colorado Boulevard.

I've lived all over the city. DM n I can give you way more in depth answers.

what's the price range you're willing to spend on rent? what are you looking to get out of the area you live in?

I lived in the Capital Hill neighborhood in Denver, which definitely had its pros and cons, and I also lived in Centennial for a few years. I also had friends scattered about the Denver area. LoDo is a cool neighborhood, RiNo is an artsy industrial neighborhood.

Centennial is a really nice suburb but depending on how old you are, a suburb might not be what you're looking for. Expect to pay a few thousand dollars for rent in the city of Denver.

Been in Co for 6 years, had my house in aurora for 3 years. I really like my neighborhood. I can get to work and to downtown in 20ish minutes.

Springs just has a lame vibe to it. Very military/Christian. Denver has some more excitement.

Rent is crazy. I suggest renting a room in someones house. Thats what i did for a few years before i got my house.  You can easily do that in lots of denverish areas for under a grand (i have 2 tenants and charge 800 each, which is market rate from what ive seen). If you get a one bedroom you either need a trust fund or a winning lotto ticket.

Denver

I love when people bring up world hunger. It makes everything meaningless.
"That guy is double parked."
"Who cares? There are people starving to death! Besides, how does that affect you? Does it lessen the joy of parking?

I was renting basically a utility closet in the basement of a friend of a friend's house before I met my ex, and he charged me (I think) 500 a month. This was back in 2017. I forget exactly what part of town it was in but it was outside of Denver and predominantly a Hispanic neighborhood. It wasn't Commerce City and it was right off the highway running north and south.
