I used to loooove watching slams in my youth. I'd throw in the Welcome to Hell slam section before going out skating and get so hyped. Now in my older age they make me hyper-aware of the reality that one day I might actually break my neck.

You do realize that as skateboarding gets bigger and bigger also do the slams, right?
That video was a slam contest and they gathered the worse they could find, that's it, it doesn't mean that everybody "believes in risking their lives for a bullshit taildrop".

as far as im concerned, skateboarding started getting stupid after welcome to hell. the slams in virtual reality were nothing like that osiris shit. yeah they were bad, but those slams were near death experiences. up until recently, you never saw anyone in a neck brace. now thats pretty common.

All of those were brutal, and for anyone interested the homie Alfred (first clip) ended up landing that hardflip a little sloppy and running into a planter.
