chaz nyjah and cole were all way better, and also did more than nose grind tricks. i dont get how winning 1 event means you win everything, so the first 3 events dont count for shit?

Yeah, it does kinda feel like Nyjah and Cole had a few bigger bangers. I guess it probably has more to do with consistency from beining to end

Either that was a horrible highlights clip meant to skew perspective, or Malto actually did win the whole thing doing a bunch of straight grinds. Interesting.

he did more than just nosegrinds - but in general yes, mostly simple grind tricks.. i saw a nollie front board, a line with a switch back feeble to switch back 5.0 - nollie front 5.0 and nollie back 5.0 on the big hubba.. nollie front and back nosegrinds on the big hubba.

they really need to get the illusion announcing these events - felix and sal are blowing it.. i also found it funny in this clip below where they say "consistency is not an issue" and that the skaters "have to land the hardest tricks they can to win" -- malto completely disproved those statements with his win - doing his go-to simple tricks and staying consistent

The consistency thing was from the first section since it was best trick and consistency would not affect the overall score.
His nosegrind nollie flip was so proper and clean

The first 3 events decided who gets to be in this event. Kind of like how other sports have their big final game and it comes down to whoever wins that final game to decide the champion. It's very 'sports' like.

If the first 3 events counted then it would have been pointless to even host a championship because Nyjah would have won based on his domination of the previous events. I sound like a fuckin sports commentator now.

nyjah missed a couple of lines and malto got ahead in that section, nyjah was at like 4th or 5th before the last big stair...

well nyjah did outscore malto in the big section.. and they had the same score in the tech section - malto beat him out in the line section.. BUT, malto's tricks were scored higher than they should have been a few times.
