Ipod problems?
« on: January 09, 2012, 05:18:01 PM »
recently i synced my ipod and it was saying it was "over capacity" because it there was 4.5 gb of "other".  all i have on here is music and before this sync the other very miniscule.  i tried going through to delete whatever it was but nothing is showing up.  has anyone had this problem?

You can always reformate you Ipod. I think you just plug it in to iTunes and restore to factory settings and then sync again. It might take a long time but it could delete some unnecessary things that aren't deleting right now.

Yeah, but that deletes everything on the iPod.

You and the D00D have turned this thread into a horrible head-on-collision between a short bus full of regular kids and a van full of paraplegics.

Don't you guys have everything backed up on your iTunes or did you get some songs from someone elses iTunes? When you reformat, you will get everything back on your iPod, minus the stuff that is on your library.

You also might have some hidden things on your harddrive on the iPod. Just plug it in, go into My Computer and click on the iPod to see if you have files that are on there that you can delete.

Thanks, I'll try that.
