Basic points:
-LASPD (LA school police) are racist and target black and latino kids disproportionately
-It starts young, with kids getting arrested by them at a young age
-recently a juvenile court for minor offenses has been cut, so kids go to trial for real now
-most of the arrests could have been handled in-house with a more resourceful administration.
-Kids are required to go to school, but according to these statistics, the way schools work put kids into negative contact with police immediately in an unavoidable way. Unlike other bad scenes or situations, a kid can't choose to avoid school
-Youth of color in LA are being forcefully criminalized in the school system.
