Great review, as always.

With your knowledge of what makes a good skate shoe and ability to assess and understand durability, boardfeel etc., why don't you look into skateshoe design for one of these companies?

I'm sure you'd know what to do to put out something awesome.

Hello all,

I just got these shoes in the mail yesterday. A few things...

I typically wear 9s or 9.5s depending on the brand or model - always 9.5 if ordering online so I don't end up with shoes that are too small. Well, these are painful to wear. I got them size 9.5 and they are long enough with perfect amount of end toe space, but they are too skinny! (not wide enough) By the time my foot reaches the top of the toe piece I need to squeeze real hard and after walking to work in them this morning my feet are cripped! Now, I do have pretty wide feet but this has never happened with a 9.5 size shoe. I usually wear vans or lakai and this has never been a problem.

Other than that I really like the shoe and shouldn't have worn them on a 30 minute walk this morning. The above review is very helpful and appropriate, but I'm pretty bummed on my circumstance.

So - what should I do? could this potentially be a defect? Should I just stretch them out for a few days and suffer the pain? I tried going to the contact us section on the habitat footwear site and they don't have an email.

Cheers

Try to microwave them for 30-40 seconds and then walk around. It might help them form to your feet a little better.
