Sources for a documented essay on skate culture
« on: November 20, 2013, 09:31:37 AM »
Has anybody on slap found articles on the creative direction of skateboarding, skate culture, art,  fashion, or even trick selection (far-fetched, I know) in any well respected literary journals? I'm writing a research paper on the influence of outside cultures in modern skating in America, most notably on the European influence by companies like Polar and Magenta, but I need to cite quite a few resources and can't write about just that.
My professor is not one to help and only offered a cliched "for a culture to live it must borrow from others." Hopefully the messageboards will be more helpful, even direction for the paper would be much appreciated. If not it's cool, I probably should do my homework by myself anyway. Thanks a ton guys.

Slap rep is similar to credit from literary peers, right? If thats the case I'm nominating Harem for a Pulitzer for his work in the OkCupid or awkward sexual experience (I forget which) thread and L33tG33k or GAY for the overall Nobel Prize for PoTY status.

And if Rusty Berrings isn't a real person then his character development is flawless.
