Kyle Fredrick
« on: May 03, 2016, 03:40:35 PM »
I thought for sure this wasn't the last we would see from him after this part.

Haven't heard from him since though. Seems like he was on Mystery?? But didn't they fold??

Just wondering what's up with this guy. It's an awesome part. Nothing bad can be said about it. If nothing else, if you haven't seen it, enjoy!

EDIT: I DON'T KNOW HOW TO EMBED THE VID. I'M THE WORST. SOMEONE HELP ME OUT IF THEY CAN, PLEASE!!!

I think that after dropping that insane cruiser part and still not getting hooked up properly by companies, he realized he wasn't going to be having a career in skateboarding and decided to get a real job. Smart move I guess even though he's one of my favorites for sure.

Iron worker if I recall. Are you talking about the guns or something else? I haven't seen him in a long long time.

Had ankle surgery and got a normal job. Seems to spend time working on cars and shooting guns.

here's an older part years before the mystery part:

I wonder if he had tons of potential sponsors but they all went looking for a "Karl Fredrick" and couldn't find this guy's number?

Dane Burman set up a gofundme page with a target of 10,000 dollars for Kyle in order to keep him skating and not having to get a full-time job. You guys had your chance.

psshh... with the insurance payout from that, you'd be doing them a favour - all we'd get is maybe a 5-6 month reprieve while they rebuild.

the question then is, are 6 berrics free months worth $10K?

No. Unless one of my favorites has some footage on the Berrics, I don't go one there. So, my life is pretty Berrics free as it is. It would be a waste of money...

He wasn't getting paid by any of his sponsors when that came out so he left California and went back east to get a job. He's hugely talented and I'd love to see another part from him but I understand, the dude was in his mid to late 20s and not making any money on skating at all, eventually if things don't work out you gotta call it quits.

He didn't have ankle surgery till way after the decision to move was made
