I've got some good local options for Indian and Thai but my current favorite pro is Oski Rosenberg and the best Chinese food I've had was in Calgary, Alberta. They have amazing steakhouses in Calgary too. Wonder what the food scene is like in Malmo, like what kind of lunch do they serve at the skate school?

Calgary has fantastic Chinese food. The place you're thinking of might have been the Silver Dragon. Fun fact: Calgary is the widely accepted place of origin of ginger beef (at least Western style ginger beef, not sure if there is some sort of authentic equivalent).

Calgary is also where the Caesar was invented. For those in America the Caesar is like a Bloody Mary but with Clamato juice (sounds gross, I know, but they're pretty damn good) and they are a Canadian institution.

Whats the best American city for Indian food?  I've lived in ATL, NYC and LA all are great food cities but Indian kinda meh in all of them.  Compared to London anyway.  Favorite pro changes every week I'll say Gustav for now.

I would imagine there would be an abundance of good Indian food in Northern California, Oregon and Washington because of all the Indian people who migrate to the cities in those places for jobs in tech and the medical field. Can any PNW Pals confirm?
My favorite spot in Seattle is Annapurna on Broadway. Amazing food in a dope basement restaurant.

favorite pro to enjoy indian food: kenny reed

my city has awesome indian food everywhere. most places are pretty decent. indian is the best food when it gets cold. it makes you feel warm without giving you super intense heat.

I miss Annapurna, I lived right next to there on 10th and John for a few years in this super cheap huge 2bed/1br. Like 1,600$ a month but it was two floors with a massive living room/kitchen and a mini porch for smoking and chilling during the summer. I think I could even see the space needle for a minute before The Lyric apr complex opened up.

Eric Dressen.
Well, I lived in London for 18 years and my favorite spot was a place called Monsoon in New Cross, it was about a block from my house, and great chicken Tikka masala and Sag Aloo, Peshwari Naan's too. So many hidden gems in that neighborhood, one of the best Thai places round the corner too.
Britain is blessed with great Indian food. The Balti was actually invented in Birmingham.
I had such a hard time finding a decent curry when I moved to L.A. all my friends had places that they recommended, and I felt like me and the missus tried most of em, but I was never really that sold on any of em. I'd pretty much given up, because anywhere I went to wasn't really that good.
Then a few years ago I was out in Joshua Tree and I found a place called Sams indian food and pizza. I wasn't sure how good it was going to be, but I thought I'd give it a go, but it was incredible. I tried all the Curry Pizzas and all that, but just their regular Indian food is so legit. I was working on a house out there for a while so it became my regular.

As a Brummy I can vouch for this! So many incredible Indian Balti's in the UK.
Super cheap and most are unlicensed, so you can bring your own beers in with you aswell.

The best Indian food I’ve personally had was in Yuba City, CA. They have 15,000 Sikhs out of a 60,000 population. Very affordable. And they Also have a Sikh festival every year where they just hand out food and drink and shut down the streets.
I don’t know which pro I would enjoy it with, though...

Near me it’s North Jersey and “Dosa Belt” around Exton, PA.

Not strictly Indian but there’s a really great Nepalese place in Saint Paul called Everest and when in Philly the Indian Chicken Cheesesteak at Little Sicily II is wonderful.

Seconding jersey. Best Indian food quality and quantity in the states I've found between Edison and Iselin NJ. All sorts too, including indo-chinese which is a must try.

Highlights include:

Dehli garden in Edison NJ-best palak paneer on the planet, and get the garam masala spiced lime soda. Homemade and amazing.

Dimple's bombay talk in Iselin-too good.

Also have to go with BA for pro to dine with? Plus he's got some jersey roots.

Heard it was stale fish.

Good one. Double entendre because it's a skate trick and they eat rotten fish.

I have Norwegian heritage and an amazing grandfather who helped me build my first ramps and because of the woodworking he taught me I was able to build many ramps.  He grew up in the Great Depression so anything that was dished onto your plate had to be eaten.  He was never mean about it but all of us grand kids couldn’t  break his heart by not eating everything.  Lutefisk is the worst, every Christmas but I made it!  The term “I just puked in my mouth”. It’s real!

Bradford in West Yorkshire, England has tons of great Indian restaurants, they’ve even got the curry mile. Jamie Thomas is probably my favourite skater.
Success is not final, failure is not fatal. It’s the courage to continue that counts.

Danny Wainwright - Bristol

think he's more of an asian food guy. Seen him munchin at wagamama twice, never seen him at the brunel raj or bombay spice. And i have not once, not once, seen him down at Oh Calcutta ... I've never seen him at tikka flame of a saturday night, or the balti hut. maybe he gets deliveroos.

We’re all hearing different things, Ive heard chicken finger flips and sal(flip)sberry steak, eggplant and bean plant, but  all of them come with a salad.
Well I have like 9 Andy Anderson dated flight decks.
