Any info on the creator of skatevideoonline.net?

im working on it right now, ill have his info in a couple hours,

the filmers arent the only ones getting ripped off, the skateboarders in the video are to. maybe if you bought the video then you would maybe buy a pro  board?

instead of a shop or blank board wich i think is just as bad as downloading videos for free.

I think if they companies hadn't increased the price when DVDs came out by so much you wouldn't see so many people downloading the videos. There is no reason that a DVD should cost 2-3 times more than a VHS tape but when they first came out the skate industry made the bad choice to take advantage of the newness of the DVDs to increase their price with no real increases on the production side.

OK, maybe their is a slight increase due to paying to get the menus done and all that but cost of DVDs is really low and economies of scale seems like it would make that additional production cost neglible at best and definitely not 2-3 times the cost to produce a VHS tape.

Basically, I would buy way more DVDs if they were 15 bucks like the VHS tapes used to be but 30 bucks means I got to really, really like the video to buy it.

what do you base this on? are you an accountant for skateboard companies? I really like the fact the alot of old videos are online but people stealing new videos really hurts companies. Josh Stewart lost money on Static 2 and it looks like people are rushing to steal Get Fam which is an independant video and the only way Chris Hall makes money off it is from direct sales. People stealing new videos is hurting skating and especially hurting the independent video maker in a big way. It is really going to suck if Get Fam loses money, that guy put alot into that and made a really good video and people posting it the day it comes out is fucked up.

BUY GET FAM!!!!

DONT STEAL THIS ONE!

Haha a video I did last year was linked on there. Under Archie Productions (joke company i made up), Try Harder Next Time, check it out and let me know what you think of the filming/editing, the skating isn't necessarily upto par with the other videos i understand.

most new english vids are starting to retail for £5 (escape from boredom, h' min bam, squadrephenia) well actually the ones distributed by power distribution, compared to the usual £20 (or even 30 for yeah right) which not only makes them more affordable but also almost totally discourages downloading i mean how can you go wrong for a fiver!? owning the real thing is waaay better anyway, but what i guess i'm saying is if its possible to release a vid for such small price why don't all companies do this? if your gonna charge like £30 for your dvd your kinda asking for illegal downloads! and fair enough really some skate vids are extortionate. it might be harder for independant filmers to release dvds for so cheap but andy evans managed it with this 'n' that so i'm sure others could to?
