The amount of defections from board companies has been at its highest in a long time.

Since it looks like there is going to be four to five new board companies including 3D Skateboards, Fucking Awesome, Alex Olson's company, P-Rod's company, and possibly a Marc Johnson Chocolate/Enjoi split off.

I could see P-Rod doing his own thing with the guys he skates with but all the other dudes could of made one awesome team. But everyone wants their own creative decisions so that's why there is going to be five new board brands.

Should there of been a super team or five new brands ?

We already saw this happen before. In 1990-93 skateboarding companies had that "big bang" effect that has morphed into today's biggest companies, made out of the "implosions" of the era before it's companies.
The guy that was once the defector from the big business man corporation, now has become the big business man corporation.
And so said guy's young buck pro roster is doing this all again.
We also kind of had a middle area there in 93-94 where Girl and Chocolate formed from Blind/101/World/Plan B, the dust settled and the pieces laid where they were, safe and sound for a long period of time.
All this cosmic madness is happening all over again. It's a cycle.
It may not seem like it yet, but it just may be what skateboarding needs right now.
...then again we didn't have energy drink entities and corporate shoe sponsors in skateboarding back then...but we did have Swatch watch.

But it isn't the young bucks that are leaving companies.

I know that silly...I meant they once WERE those young bucks.

Then you must know that your comparison between now and the early 90's is crap.

Go skateboard, it will all figure itself out on it's own.

I'm talking about a super team made out of all the people that have left their companies now in the present

Sorry, didn't read your boring ass thread and went straight to the truth.

Fine, the A-Team.
