Bianca Chandon? Seriously? This company is garbage. Alex is doing an amazing job at building its image and mystique though. Keeping people guessing is what's interesting about it. It's just a mind fuck. Sooner or later people will realize that the whole appeal of the company is that they don't know anything about it. Only then realize that they actually know everything there is to know about it, and it'll become redundant.

This sums it up perfectly. What's so interesting about this company? The fact that AO only gives hints and clues as to what's really going on with it? You guys really think this is some type of deep and artistic brand because it has a weird name and the apparel is overpriced and labeled in Japanese? Sure it might be "unique", but what's unique worth when there's really no depth or collective concept that gives the company any discernable identity?

holy shit, the dude literally announced the actual name of the company a day ago. give it some time for fuck's sake. this shit doesn't happen overnight. As much as you guys romanticize "back in the day" without all this content overload, some of you guys act like all these internet kids you hate; when it comes to these new companies, if everything's not perfected IMMEDIATELY then it sucks.

Damn, Nigga!

It doesn't take more than a day of thought to draw a conclusion on a company name! I'm gonna stand by my judgement on that. I'll grant you that he might put out some really awesome looking stuff in the future, but so far I haven't seen anything new or original come from it, other than the mystique that I mentioned earlier. Seems like more of a schtick than a concept for a company. He might be trying to combine "high fashion" (red carpet stuff) with skateboarding, and who knows, he might actually make it work. I'm just not backing it. By all means though, go ahead and buy a 50$ T-shirt that has a phone number on the sleeve. It's cool, people might think you got it for free from a new pizza joint or something.

Also, I don't think anyone was talking about "the good old days". This is all kind of reminding me of back when Felix Arguelles was trying to promote the skate and high fashion worlds. I remember thinking he was wack too.

The name does bring the opportunity for those riding/wearing it to act as though they're celebrities on the red carpet.

"Who are you riding today?"

I was wondering, with Dylan leaving Alien there's potential for him to hop onto either Dill or Olson's new board companies, but with the companies being super new and small do they have enough to pay Dylan? I'm sure Alien could provide more financially than these other companies, and Dyl gets mad exposure via street league and mags always giving him coverage. He's a prime skater to sponsor. So what I'm wondering is if Dylan is gonna take a pay cut to hop onto a new board company.

It makes me wonder with dudes like Shane o'neill where the board sponsor doesn't seem to matter since I'm sure more cash is flowing through other endeavors like Huf and other clothing/shoe sponsors.

Anway, I think I'll chime in on that street style back street footy hate. bottom line for me I can relate way more to what those "style skaters". Cruising down the sidewalk or finding small shit to skate is whats up. Yeah, it's cool to see freaks rip like Nyjah or whatever, but ultimately it doesn't get me pumped. And about their clothing choice, people influencing each other isn't anything new. If you don't like it just do you and style on a motherfucker and progress yourself and don't bring in negativity on something superficial like everybody wearing chucks. it's whatever in the long run really.

Someone asked Alex Olson via his tumblr why FA hasn't announced dylan. yet because everyone knows he's on their and Alex just said, "Do they.....?".  Maybe he's got some power moves coming?  I'd rather see him on Bianca Chandon and do some weird shit than FA.

I feel like such a fan girl saying this because ive posted this before but he actually told me that he wants to skate for Alex's company. Although AO said he couldnt afford to have Dylan, I think that if he was to put him on that his new company would gain so much more exposure from doing so and that in a fairly short amount of time AO would be able to pay him a substantial amount. Similar to what hes done for HUF, their profile has raised massively since they recruited Dylan (and Austyn)

FA doesn't pay any of their riders

Agreed. While Bianca Chapstick or whatever isn't the best name, it pales in comparison to the stupidity of Fucking Awesome.
