Shoes with good insoles
« on: August 22, 2015, 01:56:14 PM »
I have found that some companies have been slacking in the insole department, especially when it comes to arch support. So for the knowledge of the SLAP community, who has got good insoles that will protect our feet?

My last two pairs of shoes have been Lakai vulcs and their insoles have been really good.

BA's insole actually are nothing special, just a thin ortholite insole. The whole thing, lunarlon, is on the actual sole.

Good insoles in shoes are the Vans pro insoles that came in era pro's or sk8-hi pro's for example.
The new P.Rod 9 has a good one with the zoom air, the koston 1 and 2 has a Nike lunarlon one. Cons too, ctas, starplayer's, kenny pro, all got a nice lunarlon insole.
I'm liking the adidas buz pro insole too. Nice PU insole but softer than usual.

I also remember supra having this one with a gel on the heel that where great. I had a greco shoe with that but then i gave them to a friend in need...

I swear by Footprint Dane Burman/Jaws/TK flat insoles.
That material is the most shock absorbent I've found.

I wear footprint insoles, I have had like 5 pairs, but I used to just buy them online from the U.S. but because our dollar has decreased significantly, it's way more expensive than it used to be. My current Footprint insoles are the filipe gustavo gamechangers, and they are now breaking down on me so I am just trying to find some shoes with good insoles to take care of my feet in the mid-time.

Yeah I feel like most insoles fall very short of the upgrades out there.

Agreed. I haven't tried the sucui but besides the Silas slr's I've only had seeleys from Adidas. The slrs had a decent insole but obviously it's non existent in the seeleys. I wore blue superfeet in them for the arch support. I do like the vans ultracush hd's in my chimas and gilberts and I do think they are one of the better stock insoles on the market. That being said the sucui insole looks amazing. I'm looking forward to getting a pair.

true, the vans insoles are good, i only see the blue ultracush though, i have all three of them and i think the black red and blue ones are the best, they have gel or something on the front of the insole, and the DC impact S is a good insole too, softer than the vans, if they made the dc insoles thicker then i would say those are better.

wheres over here? im from norway, not the states. but yeah, its really good. i mean, the arch is high. i have medium arches tho so i dont really notice it. funny though, i found them randomly in a local skateshop 3 days ago and freaked out, shoes usually come to europe like 2-3 months later. and they werent expensive either. they were just average priced. they only got 12 so i was lucky.

"over here" is canada. I found them at a shop today for $115. I tried them on and they were really nice, but I got blazers instead because they were slightly cheaper and they are more comfortable and I also have a bias because I have had blazers before and they are just too good. My only gripe is the insole isn't great. It's the same one as the janoski's.

Im with the "aftermarket" footprint crowd here. Makes a world of a difference in my opinion especially on the impact factor with the jaws/burman/etc mentioned prior.
