My friend had the canvas ones. Lasted him a long time. Didn't even rip the laces. Bottom of the shoe gave up before the upper. Thin as socks, he said, but he kinda liked that.

I had one pair in the mid-80s. Worst skate shoes I ever owned, but they were the first shoe to (purposefully) offer ollie protection.

I skated some for a while. The sole came unglued pretty fast (like a month of skating). Maybe just cause I live in hot ass Taiwan (never had this happen to other shoes though). Other than that they were comfortable, thin but protective. Maybe I should glue that shit back together...

If you order be sure to go a size up. Usually wear size 11 Vans and the 12's fit perfect.

i had the turquoise and black ones during my "i wanna look like a welcome kid" phase. i skated them twice and then tossed them in the donations box.

they're 19.99 +free shipping on Walmart.com, so I ordered a pair.
if I can get a month of good use, they'll be worth it.
