éS Accel Slim Break-in Help

Hey PALs, just wanted to start this thread to ask for some help regarding breaking in èS Accel Slims. If you skated a pair, what did you do to break them in fast? Also, how was the overall experience? Thanks in advance, hope me and future Accel buyers can use your help.

They break in quicker than vans vulcs no?

It’s been a while but I’d say super similar to a vans vulc. Pre-broken in feeling for the first week of skating then they tend to bag-out a lil bit. I like them more during the break-in process and less once they are broken in.

The suede ones break in within the first 30 minutes of a session, probably instantly if you spent some time walking around in them a few hours prior.

They're pretty thin and pliable from the jump so it shouldn't take more than 30 minutes to 1 hour. Go for a quick walk and do some flexing before you skate them and they should feel comfortable enough to skate.

If it's breaking them in skate-wise, I wouldn't start with flip tricks, I'd just do ollie tricks and non foot sliding tricks until they're comfortable to start flicking them

They look great but get really floppy, the Accel Slim with the Swift 1.5 sole or the standard Swift 1.5 has a sturdier, more durable sole in my experience.

And by extension, allows the upper to stay more solid, too.  Since it's less likely to potato/flop out over a mushy sole.

PJ Ladd has been skating the Accel Slim on that swift sole lately. A sign that it's better then the regular slim

Swift sole is the best cup eS has

They break in and break very quickly. Not a great shoe.

Huh, very interesting. My pair is very stiff and is a pain on the sides, does it at all stretch?

Get more sweat running through them maybe, mine are so soggy I damn near hurt my foot. Very little ball of the foot protection on stock insoles (my insoles wouldn't fit right at the toes).

So many varying opinions and I guess I'm in the 1% that absolutely loves these shoes (just ordered another pair last night)

Perfect amount of cushion and board feel IMO. I think I walked in them for like a week before I skated them.
