for the record, shapes have NOTHING to do with wood shop. what you like is wood laminate and mold. there's no such thing as a psstix shape. the default go-to shapes they use are things that worked for element or other big brands back in the day but every wood shop has hundreds of shapes on hand at any given time.
any current brand/pro is picking out shapes they want either based on established boards or drawing from their personal preferences.
that said, ps stix does have a very defining mold which is the old mid 00's alien concave w/ the really tall nose. i'm assuming that's the one you're talking about but again, it comes more from the concave and nose/tail upturn than the actual shape of the board.
OP asked "I used to pretty much only skate the aforementioned
PS six 8.25 shape with the big squares nose."
He's asking about a SQUAREISH shaped nose, dude, nothing about concave or kick which is what you are talking about. Now you're right in saying that it probably wasn't a generic PS shape but an AWS or something, without knowing the brand it's hard to say.
Molds do not dictate board shape, the /shape cutting does....

As for specific woodshop shapes, ALL of them have their very own 'generic' shapes for you to pick from, for example:
http://www.pennswoodmfg.com/Decks.htmThis allows folks to just take an off the shelf deck and get them printed...say you wanted to start a board co and not do any CAD work to create your own shape, get them made, test, repeat, etc. I guarantee you schitt stix does as well.
The real question is does say Plan B go to prof. fuckinglabcoat and say, we need a square/full ish shape to compete with everyone else, can we just use the WKND one but tweak it? I'd love to know the own and dirty of it.
