Saint Denis - Denis Lynn Documentary

Haven't seen it yet, but I'll be watching tonight. I'm sure it rules.

It's by Philip Evans, and if you are unfamiliar with his work, I think he is one of the more under-appreciated independent skate filmmakers.

Here is some of Philip's other work.

Lightbox series:
There are several others.

The Panaromic Series:
Several of these too.

Scrum Tilly Lush:
It's a full length super 8 video, and all the parts are online.

Format Perspecive: https://vimeo.com/ondemand/formatperspective
It's a full length documentary  about skate photography shot on Super 8. You have to pay to watch but it's worth the 3 bucks.

i was looking forward to this. the photography direction is terrific. wasn't as much as a biopic as i had hoped but it has good skating and and interesting background. funny, i've heard of conhuir lynn since satva leung's independent video, blackout which came out in 2002 i think, but i've never heard of denis. i enjoyed it and was sort of inspired (doesn't feel like the correct word) by the aspects of friends just bullshitting in the street. maybe i'm just homesick.

for what it's worth and for those potentially interested, here's a joined interview about this movie with the filmmaker and Samu Karvonen I posted a few weeks back : http://www.slapmagazine.com/index.php?topic=99156.msg2773125#msg2773125
