Let me preface this post with the fact that I am slightly inebriated, very uneducated and I havent read any papers or done any research at all, or read your post really.

From a yard sale I had a Valtera high roller with the boom box style handle cut out then I got a Zorlac popsicle with b52 wheels but then my grandma finally took me and got me a proper mini complete, the flameboy vs wet willy where they are shooting flame/water throwers at each other in space or some shit. It had ventures and mini logo wheels. I was only 7 but thought the graphic was lame and put a huge caballero vans sticker that was the tribal style dragon over the middle. Strange times

After the classic Nash Executioner from Toys R Us I had the total Tony Hawk set up.

Powell classic Hawk skull deck, Trackers, G-Bone wheels, black grip, no clue about bearings.

I was coming from a sports background so in my little kid head I thought, "Hawk wins all the contests, so he's the best, so his gear must be the best."
