Why would anyone say that they sexually assaulted someone, when it was them that got assaulted?
Not only did he admit to it, he attempted to normalize it with "i hear its kind of a big thing now" rather than something like "but we realize it was pretty fucked up" which would have shown some remorse or shame toward the act. He immediately followed up by bragging about throwing meat on the kid in the dog cage and laughing about it.
Chase's family members wouldnt encourage this topic if it was sexual assault perpetrated on him. Berra's excuse is a lame attempt to not only deflect, but to discredit and stifle further discussion or criticism of the topic.
Tim the Toolman Gabor was shoving screwdrivers in small people and Berra is willing to overlook this. He's probably just worried about losing the flow of traffic to his website and casting a shadow of shame and damaged buttholes over his heavily frequented park.
