Those completes are really good for skateshops around Christmas time. They're relatively cheap so you can get close to 100% mark up, and they're still cheap enough that parents are cool with dropping $80 or so dollars on one.

The problem with most completes is most of them are basically shit. I remember CCS had completes back in the day that they would whip together for a bit cheaper than if you picked the parts yourself. They had actual good, proper parts (full Shortys quickies bearings, hardware and grip package)... Much better than the junk you see these days.

Completes are for the chirren. I’m about to buy my son one because he’s getting stoked on skating and I think it’s easier for a kid to start out with something decent that has semi-legit metal trucks and ok bearings, but he’s also 7 and I don’t wanna go $150 in on something that may wind up left in the yard or collecting dust in a closet until I know he cares about it.

All those companies that brought the price down to compete with box completes are now out of business..I back completes for the kiddos. Great way for kids to learn how to skate and the parents not be scared its going to break the bank
