Lutzka's signature fedora line bombed when it hit the market.

Garrett Hill's sign pants and phone handles had investors shitting a brick when they saw how much their stock tanked.

Jordan Hoffarts pro model is held in the Guiness Books and most dust collected ever on a shelf.

Peter Smoliks Real Life Pillage didnt quit take off as expected.

in shocking news Sierra Fellers had a signature shoe once upon a time for Circa... who knew or cared?

Back in the day working at a shop we had a bet who could sell a Matt Berger deck. After months of not selling it became a mission to see who could sell it. Never happened and eventually we gave it away as a prize at a skatecamp... poor little dude.

Garrett Hill

I never understood how anyone could instinctively hate someone else’s face until I saw Garrett Hill.

I see shitloads of DGK gear around here. It's really fuckin popular with methhead rednecks and dirt ike type rednecks.

I see alot of Ryan decenzo boards here in canada, but I've never seen a Scott decenzo board, ever, and I've skated with him lol.

Aaaaand my local shop still has shane O'Neill skatemental boards on the wall. They had brian Anderson 3d decks on sale for 39 bucks roo but I bought every one haha

Same I see a ton of dgk decks at my locals.  They definitely have a pretty decent following here in Houston at least
This contradicts the point I was about to make that anybody saying they don't see DGK often must live in Nebraska or something. I see them everywhere in the city and one of the two shops (the other rarely sells them) is selling them very consistently. DGK is doing just fine I think.

Kenny Anderson got way more instagram followers so I dout it.. And just because they made 3 sizes don't mean there selling..

sure it does. why would they bother to make so many if they didnt?

Any DGK pro. Shanahan gets a pass though. I say DGK cause a couple local shops of mine stopped ordering their boards since no one would buy them.

Fortunately for DGK our boards and apparel sell very well. Its allowed us to really focus on our foundation "Saved by skateboarding" where we host events in urban cities at community centers and some skateparks where we give any number of completes out to kids that typically would have a hard time getting one. If your interested in helping give back and pushing the culture forward follow the #savedbyskateboarding on instagram.
Your local shop may not have done well with DGK for whatever given reason. No big deal.. Hopefully the shop does well in other demographics.

pretty rude and nosey of me, but is DGK paying you currently? were they ever not?

Matt Berger pro model? how "back in the day" could this have been?

It is nosey but i'll answer that.
Yes. I am actually a partner with Stevie and Troy. There was a time when a re org was happening based on people getting paid way more than what they were actually bringing in. Some had choices such as.. "take a pay cut and save your brand and continue to pay your riders or whatever.. or.. keep your pay but you have x amount of months before it runs out and you have to close shop." When it was time to shit or get off the pot.. some chose to get off the pot. Some took the cuts and when everything was back in order.. got their big chunks of back pay and threw their boards in the trash... Those were choices each individual made. Some blamed the person that had been paying them for years.... and some thought instagram slams would make them feel better.

DGKALIS you're the best. Much respect for coming on here and explaining the whole story. If only just one of tour decks came in an 8.5... just one! Hope DGK has continued success!

That said its even more trashy TX made that clip to quit after he received his back pay. Should have just stayed... numbers isn't really that great

I used to see many heavy set high school girls from the hood wearing DGK shirts. I'm guessing they don't skate and possibly wore the stuff due to Baby Scumbag associations. Then again, I probably don't look like I skate to most people. I would think some of the lesser known pros from the past with boards on bro companies sell the least amount of product (someone like Dan Pageau still having a small run of boards somewhere in 2018).

I only buy boards of pros who don't have instagram accounts. Size and shape isn't important.

Scott Decenzo for sure, I actually feel bad for the guy who was a promising plan b AM on par with Felipe. He rips but can't sell himself, he will be sitting at 26k followers on insta for the rest of his life.
