Sketchy Situations that Others Should Avoid
« on: June 24, 2019, 11:03:49 PM »
What are some sketchy situations that we've put ourselves in that others probably want to avoid while traveling?

I think the sketchiest thing I've done was use gypsy taxis in Russia. It seems like every time I got into a gypsy taxi I thought I was going to die. More than once the driver was screaming obscenities in Russian as we flew down the road going way faster than I thought was necessary. I don't recommend it.

Although, I did bond with one driver over our love of smoking cigarettes, but that was only after he had gotten out of the car and started banging on someone else's car because he was upset about the traffic jam we were in.

I love when people bring up world hunger. It makes everything meaningless.
"That guy is double parked."
"Who cares? There are people starving to death! Besides, how does that affect you? Does it lessen the joy of parking?

Squatting or train hopping around the world, has it’s perks and cons.

Have a goal or a few contacts and to get your feet in the know. Avoid buying drugs or anything from someone you don’t know.

If having a dog traveling abroad try to get them vaccinated before you leave it’s something so your animal can skip quarantine. Also a companion/service animal card so you can take your dog anywhere.
