Heroin is one of the cheesiest names for a skate co. Let's name our company heroin so then everyone can say "I ride for heroin" , hehe-fucking-he.

I have more friends who have died from opoid addiction than I have fingers and toes. So, I don't find anything about this shit amusing or shocking in any type of way - just really ignorant.

KILL YOUR LOCAL HEROIN DEALER.

I get it's just a name but trying really hard to be edgy is fucking lame.

(Update: I was wrong about Heroin and FOS and the reasoning behind the name. I'm not deleting my post tho because that's for pussies. When you're wrong, you're wrong and people should accept that and admit it when it happens..)

This is Lev doing a nollie flip to fakie at south bank in 2007. I just grabbed it from his Free Skate Mag interview from last year.

I like both Palace Skateboards and Heroin Skateboards.

I also am from New Jersey where it is very common to shit talk and break people's balls in good fun. I find Lev's ball breaking charming. I get a kick out of it.

The '80s were the worst period. You had these horrible pop bands growing their hair and calling themselves metal.

Also just saw that ad on the back cover of Free, yeah (rad photo too), shit was funny once, dumb the second time and now it's just getting stale and lame. What's the main idea, try to overtake the Heroin marketshare aka. actual skateboarders again to instead promote hype beast shit and push Dwindle wood? Palace is rad and has done sick shit for skateboarding this decade but Heroin's got the fucking legacy. Local beef is fucking lame.

I guess Palace did take a lesson from Magenta taunting them every day on the first Battle of Normandy tour with the same joke. Every time the crews would run into one another that week, the Magenta guys would just come up to them and ask 'so, you guys think you are better than us?', none of the Palace guys were bright enough to just play along and they'd all be 'what? really, no, why?'. Rinse and repeat for the week and even the Magenta ad printed that month said 'so, you guys think you are better than us?'. Magenta has been ripping off Palace caption style on their own website for a while now, Palace has given them shit for that, all fun and games. But here it just appears mean and gratuitous and - especially considering who they are attacking - that's not a great look. Now I'm all for not giving shit about great looks in skateboarding but I usually like Palace, have defended them on here on countless topics before and now I'm disappointed.

Is it even local beef? I always think of Heroin as coming from the north of England, and Palace as firmly London (obviously). What's weirder is that the two brands couldn't be farther apart in pretty much every way. It's like Primitive throwing jabs at Black Label. It's not like a bunch of shaped-board hesh dudes are going to be woo'd away by London street fashion. It's just fucking weird.
