I is been studying dopamine a ton just of late
being right creates a dopamine hit
putting someone down creates a dopamine hit
its endless dude

that vid only scratches the surface,,
check gabor mate youtubes esp
the power of addiction and the addiction of power

prime movers run on dopamine reward as do many peeps who
dont use drugs, eat food for pleasure, play games and sports, spend time posting on foreskins

if your really serious about unhealthy or excessive dopamine flooding
you will end up looking stern faced
like peeps in old black and white photos

sin could almost be the seeking of dopamine flooding
for a hit
and redemption could be avoidance of dopaminergic activity

welcome to hell bitches

The Vietnam War was like 45 years ago man.  Charlie didn’t have anything to do with this.
When nothing in society deserves respect, we should fashion for ourselves in solitude new silent loyalties.

Honest question: How do you get dopamin hits outside of social media? If I fast will I get incredibly high when I get back into the dopamine, like when you haven't smoked weed in a while?

skating works for me, no matter what i do. skating for a few hours and sweating out anything i've done helps me always stay fresh. i always noticed that if i just smoked weed and didn't skate or work really hard at something over the corse of a few days the weed wouldn't hit right. like if you were eating and already full.

skating really works for me this way, especially since im in the process of breaking the need for validation through social media.

i also take a inhuman amount of dabs and seem to always get the same effect, it's always the best after skating. you really have to break a sweat though so i get sucked into trying a few tricks or trying to learn something new, or make what i do look better or a little more proper.

ditch the phone, pick up the board then hit the bong i guess.

our entire existence in this era is essentially seeking out these "micro-rewards"...

the next beer, the next cig, the next bowl, jerking off, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, soda, sex, food, lotto tickets, etc.

its impossible to avoid, but very important to be aware of and to actively work to create some sort of will against the unhealthy impulses.

life is so fucking short so in the end...not of it really matters too much.

zooming out its really a huge component of the Pleasure vs. Joy argument.

pleasures are short but intense

true joy is stretched, even over the course of years but much more rewarding and powerful.

true joy is not dependent on what you're doing
its a way of being
or even a belief
a focus on immateriality
like loving your woman for who she is
and not what she looks like or what she does
love is acceptance, warts and all

like some christians and buddhists and hindus are blissed out
on just being in love with Jah
or the infinite oneness of just being
not doing
wu wei

neurosis could be waiting for the next dopamine hit
external of oneself
disempowered
dependent on the approval of others
the worlds ultimate co-dependent

Back when I was a SHIREFLIP, I would occasionally reference a friend I used to skate with whom developed a bad opioid habit. When I would attempt to discuss treatment options with him, he would dismiss my opinion, stating “what I really need to do is dopamine fasting to get my body back to homo-stasis.”

Now, I know he meant homeostasis, but he sure didn’t. He also did not know that eating t3s all day and stealing your dad’s pregabalin does not constitute “getting clean.” What was I talking about again?

You mix 400mg into 250mL of fluid, then you take your weight in pounds, knock off the last number, and that's how many drops per minute you get for your hit.

You and the D00D have turned this thread into a horrible head-on-collision between a short bus full of regular kids and a van full of paraplegics.
