His underachievers part could still drop in 2022 and be relevant! Stood the test of time for 25 years!
Also, let’s not forget the switch hard to back 5050 in the element world tour :0

Impish sausage is definitely gonna blow up as a euphemism this year

One of my all time favorite skaters. Having good memories from a Quick chat with him on his euro Tour 1998. Humble guy, insane style.
Fountain of Youth since 1995. Thank you Skateboarding!

No truer words…

”Skateboarding isn’t something you can just buy. It’s not something you can fake, you have to bleed for it.”

- Donny Barley

This quote speaks to me - even since the pandemic we've seen skateboarding explode in popularity, I've seen so many skate schools, coaches and beginners with fresh setups at the park. But now that life is returning to normal it'll be interesting to see how many stick around past the initial hype. The initial learning curve is very steep and you need to suck at skateboarding for a LONG time before you get decent, you have to bleed for it.

Westgate - Barley

Barley looked rad in the Agah vans.   Might be the first time I noticed someone wearing them in a video.

This series is really great. A bit odd that he didn’t mention BA at all…they’re both from Groton and shared a lot of history together. Judd too.

I wonder why there was no mention of leaving Element for Birdhouse. I think he got Brandon Westgate on before they both went to Zoo

Several of my friends skated for the regional team that Barley was able to get Element to set up. I think it was separate from the flow team, and was the east coast team manager. He took really good care of them bringing them on skate trips and had them do demos. Nothing but respect for him trying his best to give people opportunities

Love Donny Barley! I dunno what else to say - his skating is amazing still and I love to see his friendship with Westgate. I see a lot of him in Jordan Trahan’s skating too.

Any Satva reference is a plus in my book. That dude is so unique and talented.

This was a nice reminder of how much I liked this dudes skating as a young kid and a pleasent surprise to see him doing so good on his later days. As a young dad I felt so related and loved his girls not caring about skating  ;D

A true inspiration for any of us over-30 dudes

With all due respect, BA has had a few documentaries about him - let Barley have his.

Dude rules. His Element World Tour part made me want to learn how to skate everything when I first started. His lesser-known Quiksilver part is dope too (10 min marker).

Wonder how many people actually saw this when it came out? Pretty sure it was just made to play on the tv in mall surf shops

I remember being at an agenda tradeshow with the specific hope of finding this dvd. I was wandering around and saw the quiksilver booth was empty so i swooped in and grabbed a couple.
