imo they killed it for me once they opened it up to non-pros. on top of that, the pro's seemed to get kinda weaker as time went on. It seemed like there was a point where it was getting pretty legit because people were taking it pretty seriously and you had P Rod, Chris Joslin, Morgan Smith, PJ Ladd, Chris Cole, Billy Marks, Mike Mo, so many guys really going for it. When they started bringing in random "freestyle" type guys who just specialize in weird flatground tricks it kinda takes the charm out of it. The thing that really makes it is selecting cool pros who have good trick selection.
I think when you have guys who just grind SKATE and dont have good street footage has potential to go in a kooky direction because people just train switch triple heelflips and dumb shit like that (as we saw in batb...)
would be cool if some company like DLX or Primitive or something would do like exhibition or show matches or whatever you wanna call it where they just hand pick cool pros to do 1 match for $500 or something. then you dont have so much of a time commitment from the people involved.
I also think it would be cool to do a smaller tournament like 16 guys and just have all the pros wrap it up in 1 day and stream it. that really would not be difficult...
