foy pants are big. No taper or anything I found, straight loose from thigh to leg. Didn’t like em, got rid of em

do you think they could've been tapered to your liking in hindsight? i like the cellphone pocket on them.
[close]
yeah that's a good point.. maybe I should have. I forgot how long they were. they just didn't sit to my liking I guess. a tailor visit might've corrected that.

are you stuck with your newly arrived 36's? that's my size

no, it's just frustrating, i psych'd myself up for new pants that i liked and weird fits showed up. i can return them or tailor them, i've an epic tailor that's pretty cheap..

If they're extra long and baggy this works or can at least give you an idea of how they could look tapered in. (I usually do my fold from about the bottom of my calf muscle so it's not just like dragon ball z pants)

(Yeah not the best example because the videos already pretty slim pants by today's standards but you'd get the idea)

"pegging"  :D

i take back the pockets thing i said earlier, these pockets looked big and square but they taper down to point like everyone hates still. the skateboading pants have nicer bigger pockets, front wallet and phone pockets.

The waist differences are frustrating for sure tho

Grabbed a pair of the Dickies Skate Cargos in a 33" they fit TTS with a bit of room (which will account for shrinkage). Going to snag the black and brown before they're gone (dickies site has a sand/khaki if that's more your drip).

https://www.skatewarehouse.com/search-skate.html?start=0&count=30&prevsearch=dickies+cargo&searchtext=dickies+cargo+shorts

They're proper cargos, with a heavy duty feel to them and a button closure vs the 'clip' the regular dickies cargos have.

This was standard in US High Schools in the late 80s. It's why I hated when tapers came back.

Totally understandable. I have the same feelings but about when I see kids today with their pants leg just swallowing their whole shoe. Like we already did that from the mid 90s to mid 00s and it fucking sucked.

Speaking of dickies, is there any way to ditch the press marks or idk what theyre clased in english?

Like the straight line going down the middle of the legs.. also the cuffed part. 874s is so classic but i would prefer them without the cuffed legs & press marks(?)

I haven't tried it on Dickies but a good iron, a little bit of starch, and 15 minutes of elbow grease grease will take the pleats out of most pants regardless of material. Flip the legs inside out and make sure you keep things flat and the material is taut, then slowly work your way up and make sure that it's staying flat. Use a little starch if it's trying to go back. Then put your thang down, flip it, and reverse it.

If you need info on how to put them back let me know, when I was in the military your creases had to be sharp enough to cut someone so I've spent a lot of time with an iron. We even did that shit to our shirts. As a result, I'm replete with re-pleat tips.

I really like the 873 flex, good fit and feels just right. I would like to try the 874 flex but not sure if I should go with the same waist size.

Thank you for acknowledging, I was pretty proud of that one.
