Off topic but browsing his channel, I came across him skating a tiny cinder block ledge my homie built in the back of a burlington coat factory. Hilarious he found that spot.

Nah my buddy Robby built that ledge by himself with an orange vest. Just barged it with his pick up. It's to the side of the Burlington Coat Factory off the 35 by the HEB on William Cannon if you wanted to skate it. Jesus that was an Austin ass sentence.

episode 3: figgy finally takes a shower

god damn this shit is raw. big contrast to most of the other media out there. Genuinely surprised at the ending of this one.

Who the hell would have thought figgy of all people providing brutally honest narration over some clips would be so entertaining. wonder if he edits this shit too.

Wonder if it's possible to pinch a salad on the proper side of the truck if you skate bigger than an 8".

Many have already said this, but this is a small part of what the future of professional skateboarding is going to be. Notable and not so notable figures finding their own path on YouTube and cranking out content in hopes of making a livable wage.

I appreciate figgy, and I appreciate the hustle to get this stuff done and put it into the world, but I think this may be one of the channels in the new pro skater cable network that I only visit from time to time.

Right after a 2 hour drive from Houston and that was the first spot and straight to it. Then immediately to the big rail and got into a 3 hour battle for that front salad while being about 103 degrees out. Definitely one of the heaviest days/sessions I’ve ever witnessed. Big Fig is a true warrior.

First vid was a little too much for me, the second episode was a lot more insightful.

"My mind goes to a dark place so I can land these tricks and it can be hard to be around me." That explains a lot about his attitude, but I'm glad he has a sense of humor about it.

Interesting to hear his sarcastic remarks on what it takes to get a trick on film. You can tell he don’t like filming. Guy said on Epicly.. filming and skateboarding for yourself are two different things.  Once you decide to get sponsored you do less skating and more “filming”. I’ve heard a lot of pro skaters say skateboarding isn’t fun any more once you are sponsored because you are pressured to film.. all the time.

I've always felt that Figgy has been a little overlooked/ underrated. He was my pick for SOTY 2016 (the year Kyle Walker won.) he very much embodies the tech-gnar ethos.

I rewatched Stay Gold recently and his part still holds up to this day.
