You're thinking of Colonel Klink.
Now, we used to say we put on our tights to put on the world. So I don't think it tarnishes the image at all.

The more interesting question is that how did the "core" react hawk mans videogame when it come out

I'm more of a kook than core, but to this day I haven't played a skateboarding video game. Thought is was wack then, still think it's wack now. Why would I sit in front of a TV and simulate something I can actually go and learn to do?

“Chief” is not an actual recognized rank within the US military

^ I wonder how it feels to have an article by Jenkem debunk your whole documentary.

My favourite part about the ‘controversy’ is that Tas is so damn sure that had he been chosen to be in it, he would have actually landed it on the world stage and not just been another pro bailing a 900 at a contest…

another good interview: https://www.skateboarding.com/news/tony-hawk-responds-to-allegations-made-in-all-this-mayhem

Funny how they full throttle his ass with every evidence possible, does he even landed a 900 after that?
:p

It’s not always possible to go skate in real life?

Tas finally landed a 900 in 2014.

I didn't see it. I refused to go to the first x games.

Everyone I spoke to about it was on some weak ass go skate flat in the lot hoping to get a box and a cummy couch in California.

I was like way too core for all that. I just wanted to steal 40ozers and smoke blunts at Copley (forgot the year. . ...

Also I was already believing that DWay had landed it.

True, but skateboarding games never interested me. All the way back to that Atari coin op, 720. Where I grew up, most of the kids playing and raving about skateboard video games had barely ever set foot on a real board.

THPS was like that. I dunno, some of them are fun. I don’t like video games that much but EA Skate is good mindless entertainment. I can do tricks I’m too old to learn.

I can't believe this happened nearly 25 years ago. When did we all get old?

Skateboarding keeps us youthful.

With that being said, reading it was almost 25 years ago, made me feel this way...
