those big ass indy trucks

k lets say you do about 4 flip tricks and you spend most of your time trying to go fast and do basic ledge tricks in a city where a good majority of the roads are pretty doo doo ground.

i wanna set up a board thats 8 or over with wide trucks and big wheels, i was wondering, what benefits do those big indys have? how big is too big for wheels that will make the ride smoother without fucking too hard with ollieing? soft wheels hard wheels, whats the difference.

i've always been a hand me down dude but now i got a little dough and i have no idea what half of these products actually do

sounds like you want a street setup but with a smoother ride.

i don't know how much of a difference having longer/shorter trucks make?, but i wouldn't put 5.0 truck on a 8" wide board.  it'll look funny and i'd imagine it would ride funny too.

you can keep your regular setup and just get softer wheels.  Bones has a good variety of different hardness and sizes to pick from.  i'd say start there first since the hardness of the wheel makes all the difference if you're riding on some shitty ass street.  just don't go too soft otherwise it'll be too grippy for sliding around(and certain for tricks) and you'll have to drag your foot to slow down.

i forgot to add, size-wise don't get some small ass wheels(50's).  the bigger the wheel the faster and less effort it take for you to roll.  i'd check out 55's and up.

hope that helps.
