Xbox 360 help
« on: March 10, 2008, 08:46:52 AM »
I just got EA skate for free, and it's probably the only game I'll play, so me and my brother were looking at the prices on xbox's, and Xbox 360 arcade was really cheap compared to the others, what exactly is the difference between the arcade and the regular ones?

so no hard drive, won't I be able to save at all? it's pretty much arcade or nothing, the cheapest premium is 200 bucks more, and it's not woth that for one game...

yeah i got an aracde.  It comes with 1 wireless controller and one 256 mb memory card, which is more than enough to save you easkate characters.  I'm very satisfied with the arcade, and it was like 250 bucks.

I got the arcade, I beat the game, which by the end of, you've unlocked all the skatable areas and characters, and if that's all you want to acomplish that'll do ya'. But if you end up clothes-lining TK and wanna upload it to the interweb, or wanna play with the Pals online, etc. you'll have to pay $100 for the adapter like I did, and the xbox live subscription that I think comes with the hitter system that costs $50 bucks otherwise, and a 2nd controller that'd cost $60, and the headset that costs I dunno, $20 I'm guessing? Plus the hd dvd player that's like $50 if you're inticed by that at all, cool add-ons and halo3 that you could easily sell for $60?

So you get like $340+ worth of stuff for the $200 you're "saving" when getting the arcade instead.

I wish I woulda just held out another week or two and gotten the better setup. But if you don't wanna fully nerd out, the Arcade is for you.
