i want to put some skate parts onto my ipod at a watchable quality.

I don't have an ipod so I dunno the format details, but if it accepts .avi files, then do this...
Download DVD decrypter http://www.dvddecrypter.org.uk You pick the quality or the size of the file.
*Make sure that you rip it in IFO mode with stream processing enabled*
Download AutoGK http://www.autogk.me.uk/index.php?name=Downloads&d_op=viewdownload&cid=1
This changes the file to avi.
