Idk. Compared to some other 40 year old pros I think he’s aging pretty well and looks relatively the same.

He doesn’t look older than he is. If you’re in your 40’s that’s a win.

That was dope, thanks. As a 40 year old myself, I felt what he was saying about being better at skating at 40 in a way his 20 year old self wouldn't have believed. Seeing his posts about MJ this past week fit into the words he shared about Lewis, Shane and Dylan in here and shows how serious and passionate he is with skating and his life perspective in general. I love watching that contest footy The Bastien Salabanzi Show and return to it every so often so liked hearing his perspective on contest skating too.

Black don’t crack, baby.

I’m not 40, but I do get what he means by feeling rejuvenated at this age. You change and grow, and being physically able to do this at his age is a blessing. We used to treat 30 year olds like they were ancient but really you late 30s/40s can be a second wind.

Also, I think Bastien would have been right at home if he was coming up today. That infamous contest celebration would be just normal today amongst the more Athletic type skaters of today.
