Hey so I'm in Paris this winter for an exchange program and I was wondering where the best shops/places to skate are.

I'm thinking that things lay low for a bit like they do in NYC but I def. need some suggestions. It gets cold here but there isn't much snow...

Don't worry, you will not miss famous spots in Paris. They are really easy to find.
Bercy and La Dome (Palais de Tokyo) are the more popular places to skate.
La Defanse is huge modern part of Paris with big number of spots from famous videos, although lots of ledges are skate stopped. You’ll find them without trouble. Finding spots in new city is half of fun :).

Take the #7 metro all the way to the end, the Mairie d'Ivry stop. Once out of the metro take a right down the hill, go through the light and on your left you'll find...
