today there is a lot more hate on slap than usual. i know i am big contributor to that im sure. now before you go and say "awww fuck another rawbertson post" hear me out
since i have started skating a lot of things have changed for the better not just for the worse.
-more originality and variance of tricks in skate videos than in 98
-internet has provided us with every single video in skate history for free, where before it was 40$/ VHS and you could only get the newest videos at your skate shop
-interent has also provided us with stuff like battle of the berrics and epicly later'd
-skateboards are a lot cheaper now
-instead of cities building shitty parks they are building more and more street plazas and building better tranny parks with actual skaters involved.
-people are finding new kinds of spots to skate, more of a shift of focus from innner-city skating to bascially skating anything you can
-pro skaters are getting paid a lot better
-finally got a good video game
-more people know about skating now so more people get to enjoy its gnarliness (even though i hate a lot of them kids, hopefully they will grow up to be ill)
there are lots more im sure
but doin actual skateboarding anywhere is still pretty decent in the end no matter where you at really
