Thread dedicated to bug matchups and power scaling. I’ll start us off.

50 Wasp Nests vs 1 Ant Colony

Honestly, I think the ants are clapping the wasps and it’s not even close. Ants are genetically designed to be ruthless killing machines. They’d rip through 3 nests in one night and then another 7 before noon. The only way the wasps are “winning” is if they can convince the ants that they don’t gain anything from slaughtering them.

I can’t find them on YouTube anymore but the two best ones were scorpion v yabbie, like this tiny crayfish thing the yabbie had it for a sec but the scorpion got his stinger in between his shell and just injected a bunch of shite and it fucks the yabbie and I think the name was ortherepteran v mantis and the o thing was this skitz cricket I never seen it before but it just ate the mantis head, brutality
But they only do invertebrates so it’s chill

I remember seeing some crazy japanese bug fights a long time ago on youtube. Pretty fucked, apparently there is a whole gambling community around it.

One time I was collecting bugs with my son. We put an earwig and a millipede in the big catcher together. We came back like five minutes later and all that was left of the earwig was the pinchers.

In the Philippines, dudes would bet on spider fights. I told my kids that for the guys that were too poor to raise a rooster for cockfighting.
