I'm prefacing this with the fact that I think dubstup is horrible, and hurts my ears, but...

Punk isn't dead, it's just called dubstep now. Super abrasive, unconventional music that isn't generally accepted by most musical standards. "Punk" these days is as bubblegum as it gets... in the beginning it was meant to sound so abrasive that most people couldn't listen to it, and was a big fuck you to the status quo. Not so much anymore, but dubstep is actually doing that again. Techno is fucking terrible, but I do kinda respect movements that are just a big "Fuck You" and purposefully challenging peoples normal cornerstone conventions.

I really hope using it in skate videos doesn't catch on though.
