I thought dude has kids. I know they aren't living in the skate shop.

Feel bad for this generation of skaters and seeing them not where they used to be. I mean for the most part, he might never get a shoe contract ever again. It's no different then Creager and others in that odd place where they can't get shoe deals. Hope he lands on something though but I just can't think of one brand that would fit.

Washington Heights to the LES park is quite the commute. Still probably better than LA traffic.

The skateshop in my town used to be inhabited.  It was awesome.

No, that was "faster" or "H8R pt 4" or something. Different guy altogether.

fuck Nike for messing with his contract... Supa has never stopped working hard as a professional skateboarder. He was more than respectful here when talking about that situation...

happy he is back in New York. I feel like he just disappeared off Stereo.

So Nike/Kike can sponsor Alex Olson but not Supa, even though Danny is still way better...

Gripping boards until 1AM - dude is the real deal. I'd love to see this "shop", but I'm way too white and scared for that scene at 185th Street  :D. I hate how Nike can sponsor over 20 pros, but not Danny - especially when he had one of the sickest dunk colorways to ever drop (well...for a New Yorker anyway - METS/KNICKS colorway) and put the whole Nike SB scene on the map.

Glad to see he's back in his element in New York. Welcome back indeed Danny...it's been too long.

Are you sure?  I just looked at some pm's faster sent me back in the day and he signed off as Gene and Supa says the dude with the shop in his apartment is Eugene Kang.  Is it even possible that there are two old school skaters in NYC who have a skate shop in their apartment named Eugene/Gene?

Oh word, I thought you meant if it was Supa. That makes sense. Which means I've seen him around, and he is far from what I expected him to be like; he seems like the nicest, happiest guy around.

Etnies did an MC RAP NY Knicks blu/org colorway, that had an 8 stitched on the back of the heel....that's when Spreewell played for the knicks.  I still have them brand new in the box....

That's hilarious and sad if supa is living with h8er. Supa has that freak pop that is so massive he can barely control it, I love that.though I really doubt supa had anything to do with nike sb becoming accepted.

I cant feel bad for someone who promoted Nike.  I hope he doesn't get hooked up with a new shoe sponsor because by promoting Nike he hurt real skate shoe companies and other skaters.  His comments on how they were trying to give him a new contract for less than his original one makes me smile because I'm sure that other riders who originally sign with Nike getting the big bucks probably are given worse contracts the second time.  Nike being a greedy corporation that cares only about money doesn't bother me because that's what non skate companies going into skateboarding do.  The funny thing is when skaters embrace this company and get all mad when they do things like this.

Haha he was respectful talking about the nike situation here, but anyone who follows him on instagram knows he was pissed when it happened and posted pics calling them out.

Nike is a corporation that is publicly owned. It's ALL bottom line. You could have a team manager who loves Mr. Supa, but some bean counter who makes the decisions about who stays and who goes.

No idea why he would expect his new contract to be better than or equal to his first one.

a. He gets less coverage.
b. He's on the down side of his career.
