Good 2 seem him prideful over his legacy with FDR nobody was doing it like him. One of the few dudes that can talk shit like that about a place and back it up. He really had it like that bam fdr footy is magic.

Also something that impressed me. in my mind once you start making up your own alphabet, and after all the mud youve dragged, youd probably lose alot of that information. Dudes talks so much passion and reverence for not just skateboarding but specific skateboarders and time perioids with such detail. Its very cool to hear him talk so genuinely and enthusiastically about skateboarding after all this time and all the dark places it took him.

Fame is a hell of drug, interviews like this make you imagine a world where there was no cky or MTV. If bam focused on skateboarding exclusively im sure he wouldnt have been as big as he was, or made as much money, but I feel like he still would have had a lucrative career just sans the mass fame and cult appeal, and maybe ended up a lot happier.

2nd most famous skater of all time getting a truck cw isn’t necessarily at the expense of whoever else is on Slappy getting a colorway.  It’s helping Slappy more than doing anything for Bam

Ohh the him and the heartagram stuff was just terrible, I don’t think anybody will come on here and say oh ya that was cool. But he definitely used to rip. He was obviously a skateboarder like all of us before all the weird fame shit and the tv shows.

So it makes me happy to see a fellow skateboarder rediscovering what they used to love. He is obviously enjoying himself. I think just because somebody rides a skateboard that doesn’t mean you have to like them, but one should still give other skaters respect if that makes sense. Bams one of the few skateboarders I feel like actually does owe skateboarding a legitimate full part. In b4 "he dont owe you shit" and thats 100. But for me I think its kinda lame the only real part he really had is the toy machine one. By the time elementality dropped he was already a made man, most of it was footy he very obviously filmed as b roll for the shows. Some of it is beleive was cutting room floor cky shit. I don't give a fuck much for the heartgram shit. It was a fun era of television same with cky. But i think of all the people synonymous with pro skateboarding, especially in the mainstream, he has the weakest portfolio and least deserving when it comes to the video resume. Hate him or love him even fat bam has a style thats unique to skateboarding. I dont wanna be a fan of bam. But as a fan of skateboarding when he does a frontside flip or when he does some fucked air off those bumps at fdr.

Itd be cool to see the dude actually put passion into a part. If that makes me a kook so be it.

I liked the frontside nosegrind he did in Arto's part. Modern Bam however is just like any other 2-beers-too-loud personal space invading punisher at your local skatepark waxing poetic about how much they used to rip. Bam's biggest fan is Bam, and that is his biggest weakness.
